Several Trips to the South of France (Part 4) – Villefranche

What: Some day trips, dinners and a few stays.
When: October 2012, September 2013, April 2018
Distance from home: About 869 miles
Length of adventure: See above!

Details:  Villefranche is a beautiful village just outside Nice which is perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. The first time we went to the South of France we went there for dinner and spent an afternoon pottering around the backstreets.

The second time we stayed the night because we got engaged! We were obviously slightly preoccupied with champagne drinking but did manage to find time to go for a swim in the sea.

Earlier this year we stayed there with Mum and Dad and it rained a lot so we exhausted all of the indoor activities in a 20 mile radius. On the last day the sun came out and we went to Cap Ferrat which is just round the corner and spent the morning at the Gardens of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild.

Villefranche is the perfect place to unwind whatever the weather.
